Fitness and Performance 2

Potential of 6 Credits
Prerequisite: Fitness and Performance 1

Fitness and Performance 2 expands on the base concepts of exercise and movement learned in Fitness and Performance 1.  Throughout the course, participants will improve existing movement patterns and expand coaching and movement correction abilities.  They will graduate to experiencing a variety of advanced training systems and continue to build interpersonal relationships designed to foster health, wellness, and performance in the LCI Fitness community.

Outside of the training environment, participants will start the process of nutrition assessment, planning and refinement associated with fitness and performance.  This process begins by tracking existing nutrition habits and eating patterns, and graduates to planning and executing performance-based nutrition.

Additionally, individuals will be exposed to introspective sport psychology.  They will explore and examine what motivates and drives them, and learn and utilize strategies to help mediate difficult situations that interfere with enhanced performance.
