Prerequisite: Fitness and Performance 1
Fitness and Performance 2 expands on the base concepts of exercise
and movement learned in Fitness and
Performance 1. Throughout the course, participants will improve
existing movement patterns and expand coaching and movement correction
abilities. They will graduate to
experiencing a variety of advanced training systems and continue to build
interpersonal relationships designed to foster health, wellness, and
performance in the LCI Fitness community.
Outside of the training environment, participants will start the process of nutrition assessment, planning and refinement associated with fitness and performance. This process begins by tracking existing nutrition habits and eating patterns, and graduates to planning and executing performance-based nutrition.
Additionally, individuals will be exposed to introspective sport
psychology. They will explore and examine what motivates and drives them,
and learn and utilize strategies to help mediate difficult situations that
interfere with enhanced performance.
