The Women’s Weightlifting Club has been developed to uplift women and promote women’s health and wellness. Our goal is to expose and introduce women to our love of fitness, while promoting a safe space for growing and improving mental and physical health. Our mission is to support young women in finding healthy lifestyle outlets and create a positive change in their lives. We offer a safe, comfortable and non-judgmental space to explore fitness, and provide a supportive community for all individuals who enter the space. Our space and community are one that does not define others by body type or shape, background, race, sexuality or sociological constructed category. We celebrate everyone and the unique differences that we have that make us special in our own regard.
This
is not a lifting contest! Everyone here has a different experience with working
out and is at a different level. Everyone has their own mental battles and not
every lifting day will look the same. The coaches of the club are here to help
you with all aspects of your comprehensive health by sharing knowledge,
experience, a passion for fitness and an even larger passion for helping better
others so that we may take care of ourselves in and out of the gym.
Everyone is different. We all have different brains, builds, and goals. Your training may not look the same as the person next to you but that’s okay! Find your groove and what works best for you. Explore an opportunity for new connections, strengthen existing relationships, focus on health, well-being and fun!
