Remembrance Day comes but once a year. Ensure you take your time to remember and observe the silence needed to honor those who have fallen for us.
With the seasons ending of the first set of ASAA sports, many athletes are looking to enter training to improve performance for the spring or for next year. It is important to observe the fact that you are now in post season phase. Post season should be utilized to ensure that an athlete is resting and recuperating from a long and often trauma filled season. All the aches and pains that have been ignored are now starting to resurface and ache just a little bit more. Give the body time. This does not necessarily mean do nothing, but feel free to take a little time to heal and enjoy life after sport, before you get back in the trenches. Dedication is admirable, but can also be counterproductive if utilized in the wrong facet. If you wish to continue training, keep it light, simple and short.
