Semester 2 Info - Please read

 Hello LCI Fitness Users,

Welcome to semester 2.  here is some info that will help you navigate start up and return to training - or beginning training.

FOOTWEAR POLICY:

All users require a pair of clean indoor shoes to access the training facility.  In the past we have not enforced this but the shortage of caretaking hours, increase in number of users and amount of mess being tracked in needs to be addressed.  Please have a second set of shoes that are clean to access the space.  They do not have to be new shoes - they could be an old set that you have cleaned up to wear as indoor shoes - the underlying message is please have shoes that you DO NOT wear outside.

WAIVERS:

Students who took Fitness and Performance courses grade 9-12 in semester 1 do not require a waiver.

Students who filled out waivers in semester 1 do not require a new waiver for semester 2

Students who are new to the space, and do not fit either of the above criteria, must fill out and submit a waiver form.  Waivers can be picked up from Mr. Gillespie or printed from the link in the sidebar of the website.

OPENING DAY:

First day of semester 2 access is February 3 for both lunch and afterschool.  Start up is a very busy time and it takes a bit for teachers and supervisors to get themselves, courses and the school to a spot where having the space open at lunch and afterschool is manageable.  Thank you for your patience

WEBSITE:

The website is the hub of all fit center information. Programming, events, closures, information, opportunities, etc. are all posted to the site.  Please familiarize yourself with site to be sure you don't miss things and take advantage of what it has to offer.

**To access the full site on a mobile device, scroll to the bottom of the page and select the option "View Web Version"

DONATIONS/COST:

LCI Fitness is free to all students who attend LCI.  However, the costs associated with running a fitness facility of this magnitude are heavy.  As such, we request that you consider making a donation to help preserve the quality of opportunity afforded to you.  Any and every little bit helps.  Donations can be made in person in the business office/main office and can also be done through Schoolcash online.  To ensure funds make it to the intended destination, please be sure to indicate the following information in the Schoolcash donation area:

Fund Destination: LCI

Message to School Board: LCI Fitness Center

If you have any questions, please reach out to Mr. Gillespie in person (always love to meet everyone who is looking to get started) or via Teams and/or email for quick response.  Looking forward to another amazing semester of training with you all
