I have said this numerous times since I have started the Conquest Conditioning site....I am proud of all of you for the efforts you have taken to try and improve your fitness and life. Yesterdays Tabata for some of you was your first big step outside the box and I feel you have met this challenge head on. I have brought many of you well outside your comfort zone and hope you perservere through the early difficult stages. Remember whatever support you need I am there for you. If you feel that you are unfamiliar with movements and this is the root of your lack of confidence in the workouts please stick around after the workouts and we can work on brining you up to speed in whatever area you need.
Typically people who want to get fit go to a fitness facility put on their nicest Lulu Lemon gear, pop in their ipod and hop on the good old treadmill with their favorite channel on in front of them. They plod along for a good 45 minutes to an hour and whew, what a workout! Can you believe that Oprah actually gave all that stuff away today while I burned those unwanted calories and got TOTALLY FIT. Unfortunately you only got more fit than the person who did not do anything today. Yes, some movement is better than no movement, but wouldn't you rather half the time needed to do your workout and quadruple the result. All you need is a little "Metabolic Conditioning"
Metabolic conditioning is essentially a combination of intensive muscular training coupled with intensive aerobic training. Make no mistake, this combination is a potent one. Just one of these workouts will tax your body's complete musculature and cardiovascular system to the absolute limit if performed correctly.
