After a discussion with a few of the individuals training conquest style it came to my attention that some of you may be experiencing headaches and/or blurry vision during or after the workouts. Although this may not happen in every individual, this is quite normal for many people who have recently started a new exercise regime or those attempting to push to the next level. So, why does this happen. The reasons can be multi faceted, but here are a few reasons and methods by which you can combat this irritation.
The Why:
- Dehydration
- Rapid build up of lactic acid causing cramping of muscles in the back of the neck and around the eyes
- Drops in blood sugar
- Rapid dilation of blood vessels to supply blood and nutrients to extremities
What to do about it?
- Stay hydrated
- Increase fitness by continuing new exercise regime
- Ensure you are good and warm before starting exercise
- Eat something small with a little bit of starch in it prior to exercising
Hope this helps, but all I can say is it gets better. As your body adapts to the stimulus you are placing on it, these symptoms should clear up. If they do not clear up then please talk to me or seek counsel from a medical practicioner.
