On November 17 we will have a guest lecturer coming into LCI to talk about nutrition. Many people have missed seminars that happen on Tuesdays that have to do with lifts. Lifting may not be every ones thing, but nutrition is! Everyone needs fuel to be able to live and those who enjoy training, fitness and a healthy lifestyle should especially focus on a proper nutrition plan. There are many different plans that exist out there and finding the right plan for you is often a process of trial and error....filled with good experiences and bad experiences. Crossfit Coach and Nutrition expert Mike Kesthely will be saving you the time of going through the trials and tribulations of finding the right plan. Mike is one of the most well read and knowledgable individuals in the area of nutrition that I know. His talk will range from the basics of nutrition to healthy living and weight loss/gain to performance nutrition. THIS IS A MUST ATTEND SESSION! You can check out Mikes blog at http://confessionsofacrossfitcoach.blogspot.com/ for links to awesome information and a tell it how it is perspective.

The commitment to workout honesty is often something many people struggle with. Having to be accountable for things is not always easy when it comes to being accountable to no one but yourself. Missed workouts, shaving reps, giving up, etc. are all things that everyone is faced with when times get tough. In the end you are the only one you have to answer to if these are things that are happening to you. To look in the mirror and know that you did not give it your all, you didn't go (not because of an injury but just out of laziness) or you were tired so whats 1 less rep; is a feeling you should never want to face. In the end you have let yourself down and you have let your workout partners down. Although this has a negative tone to it at the current rate I am going, there is a positive flip side. Don't do these things and you will always be able to hold your chin, look yourself in the eye and know that you are a champion...you have what it takes. Despite the time it takes you to complete the workout, how tired you are, you had the balls to continue and finish what you started. You didn't quit - you don't give up. So ask yourself - "When's the last time you looked in the mirror?"
