December 7, 2011

With the Christmas season comes lots of food, treats, family gatherings and festivities.  It is easy to get carried away by all the food that is around and indulge a little too much.  In order to help with not overeating in single sessions, practice the lost art of conversation.  Take time between mouthfuls to share conversation with your family and friends.  The simple act of slowing down how fast we shovel the food in our mouth and chewing our food will give the body time to register a satiety response.  In essence time to let you know that you are full.  Beyond that it will add connection between family members and a moment in our busy lives to appreciate those we care about.  Share a conversation filled meal with your family this Christmas and find out how much less food you actually need at a feed.
