A Change of Plans

Over the past number of weeks we have been working on learning the deadlift, sumodeadlift high pull and med ball quick drop. Today we are going to combine all of those skills into one dynamic, athletic, explosive and super fun movement called the clean. Some of the conquest members stuck around after the WOD last Tuesday and caught the Clean seminar. For them this will be a brush up on fundamental technique, but if you were unable to attend this will be a crash course in olympic weightlifting movements 101. Come on in and put to the pieces together of the hard work you have been learning up until this point. The clean will help you pick things up from the floor to front rack position more efficiently, develop athletic skill, strength, power and help to increase explosiveness. It is one of 2 movements that are a must have in your lifting repetoire.


One of the most successful olympic lifters ever is Pyrros Dimas. Check out how the clean is supposed to look. Remember we will be cleaning only and not jerking today.
