Dbell lunges can be done with the arms hanging at the sides. Keep your chest up high and perpendicular to the ground. Take nice long steps and come up completely in the movement before entering the next lunge.
Dbell squats should be done to simulate the front squat movement with the flat part of the dbell sitting on the top of the shoulder and elbows held high. Stay in control in order to keep from clunking yourself in the head with the dbells. Don't let your elbows droop!
