Below is an email that went out to all parents of LCI students:
Dear Parents,
First off families, we would like to thank you all for your
patience. As you would understand we are navigating this new reality as
we go. Please know that we plan to support student learning in any way
possible to meet student success. Open communication with teachers will
be the key in the near future. Teacher contact will begin next week once
we hear from Alberta Education on how to proceed.
This email details the schedule for students to access LCI to
collect their learning materials and personal belongings.
The schedule and all considerations have been designed to align
with best practice as communicated by Alberta Health Services in minimizing any
potential risks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
At this time, we are asking for the following measures to be
adhered to:
- Only students are allowed to access the school (no
parents, guardians, etc. will be permitted).
- Only the main entrance doors will be open and
unlocked.
- Students are asked to remove all belongings from their
lockers and bring them home.
- Students are asked to not loiter and hang around the
school; arrangements should be made for an expedient pick up.
- If students have any athletic jerseys/clothing to be
returned, they should bring during this scheduled time and return to the
office.
- We ask all students to respect this process, only
accessing the school during their scheduled time. This is very important to
ensure the number of people in the school is within the limitations as
communicated by AHS.
- In the event that students are not able to access the
school, there will be an additional opportunity for them in the coming
weeks. Details surrounding this information will be communicated at a
later date.
